🐎 What’s a Modrinth?

For the past 20 years, mods have allowed gamers to transform their experiences and have endless hours of fun. Despite this, the platforms to publish these mods have historically sucked, to say the least. They’re plagued with invasive advertising, a lack of care for creators, and shady businesses with no transparency. We’re building an open-source modding experience, empowering creators to publish their mods, get discovered, and earn money for their creations. For gamers, we’re making the process of modding more easier and elegant than ever by creating a stunning website & app to browse, install, and play mods.

📜 The role you’ll play

Modrinth is looking for a full-stack wizard to super charge and lead development of our front-end and back-end services, launcher, and product. We would love to work with a driven and product-focused engineer to build with us!

Our stack includes Rust and Vue.JS. We don't expect experience with all of these, but we do expect you to be able to learn quickly and pick up what you need to know.

🤹‍♀️ The skills we need

• You are skilled in the Rust programming language OR have experience in frontend JavaScript frameworks like Vue.JS, Git version control, and SQL
• You adhere to “good” code practices with a focus on readability, maintainability, and testing
• You’re not afraid to branch out of your core competencies
• You take ownership of your projects and will lead yourself and others to build the best product
• Bonus: You've made games or mods before
• Bonus: You're familiar with Vue.JS
• Bonus: You’ve used Rust frameworks like Actix and Tauri before
• Bonus: You have design experience
